Everywhere a person can find some opportunity if they have eyes

It is an extremely interesting experience when the locals in some country show you their traditions and way of life!

Introduce yourself in a few words..

I am Eva Kikerazova and I am a journalist, mother, and mediator.

What does traveling the world mean to you?

Happiness, freedom, and need.

How many different countries have you seen so far? Share an interesting story or highlights from your travels?

So far I have been in about 40 countries. I have experienced all sorts of absurdities everywhere, and I love it the most when I meet locals who bring me closer to their culture.

Do you like to repeat destinations? Give examples and motivation “for” or “against”?

I prefer not to repeat. I have a strong memory, and once I have seen something, I don't feel the need to see it again.

What was your first trip that truly changed you as a professional and can be said to have changed your thinking?

It was the end of the 90s, and we went on tour with folk dances in Belgium and the Netherlands. We lived in the homes of locals and took a lot from their way of life.

What do you learn about yourself and your professional skills when you are in a new cultural environment?

That I handle bargaining with sellers very well.

Have you met people or ideas during your travels that have influenced your career path?

Yes.

Do you think your travels help you expand your professional network? How?

They certainly help in various ways. At the very least, they can show you different perspectives.

What skills do you develop the most when you travel, and how do they affect your work?

I am quite adaptable, and this helps me not only during travels but everywhere.

Is there a city or country that has inspired you to start a new business or project?

Vietnam was such a place for me.

When you are in an unfamiliar country, do you feel more motivated or more distracted? Why?

When I am in an unfamiliar country, I want to explore as much as possible, so I am definitely very motivated.

Are there destinations that act as a “restart” for your creativity and ambition?

Every trip motivates me.

How do you manage the balance between work and pleasure when you travel?

I have no problem with that.

How have travels changed the way you perceive the value of money?

They haven't changed it for me.

Do you travel with the aim of finding new ways to earn money?

Yes.

What lessons about financial independence have you learned from different economies and cultures?

To use more cash, to pay less with a card.

Do you think it is better to spend on experiences rather than on material possessions?

This is my credo and I teach my children this as well.

How do you see the future of digital nomad life?

It is a very good opportunity for people who have skills for some kind of remote work.

Are there specific countries that are more favorable for work and investments?

Everywhere a person can find some opportunity if they have eyes.

If you could choose one place in the world to develop your next big idea, what would it be and why?

Vietnam. The country is doing very well and is developing quickly. Moreover, they support businesses.

What are the destinations that you would definitely recommend to be visited and why?

I will say again – Vietnam. It is beautiful, it is calm, the service is at an extremely high level, and there are many opportunities.

What is the career advice you would give based on what you have seen around the world?

To be disciplined and consistent.
