How would you describe your career in a few words?
A series of steps upward, but also some backtracking from time to time.
What was the most-important choice that shaped your path Vi?
The decision to start as a junior copywriter at “New Moment” back in 2003.
What would you like to know at the beginning of your career, but no one told you?
That making a living from creative work in Bulgaria is difficult.
How can one understand which profession is suitable for them?
The easiest way is to truly love what you do.
Which skills according to Vas will be key in the next 10 years?
It’s hard for me to assess in this dizzying development of the world. But I keep thinking that hard skills, not soft ones, will have greater significance.
How to build a network of useful contacts without appearing interested?
And why should we appear uninterested?
What is the biggest mistake you have made in your career, and what did you learn from it?
My mistakes are countless. From wrong behavior and attitude towards people, to wrong decisions for the business and all sorts of other mistakes. I try to learn from each one.
How to recognize a toxic work environment and when is it time to leave?
I myself, without wanting to, of course, have created a toxic work environment. The truth is that this never leads to good results.
What would you do differently if you could start over?
I would learn more from my experience. I would build different working relationships.
How to maintain our motivation in times of stagnation?
Mostly with my own will.
How to achieve balance between professional and personal life?
I have never been good at that.
When is it time to change our career, not just the job?
When we feel that a certain professional field is not ours and is not for us.
If you had to give just one piece of advice to people seeking success, what would it be?
Curiosity plus perseverance.
