I would like us to be a desired partner for companies like SpaceX

I mark the beginning of the company with a very pivotal stage in my life and that is my 'career maturation'! I think everyone has gone through such a 'corporate catharsis', where they feel out of place!

My name is Dani Dyakova-Koycheva and I am the founder of NEXA Talent, primarily engaged in recruitment in the software industry, as well as attracting clients, brand strategy, and marketing for the company. I have over 7 years of professional experience in software recruitment, having started my career in 2018 at an executive search agency in London. After that, I began working at one of the largest recruitment agencies in Bulgaria, where I worked with over 40 different companies, and before I started developing my own business, I was part of one of the fastest growing start-ups in the iGaming industry.

How many years have you been with the company? How do you feel in it and what does this stage mean for you?

The idea for my own brand in recruitment crept in almost 5 years ago, when I was not ready to give up everything and start from scratch, but I knew I had to use this time for my improvement as a valuable asset in the industry - I gained more experience, started to delve deeper into technical interviews, and expanded my network of contacts.

In February last year, I took the first steps towards creating the company. I relied on my existing contacts and emphasized my established reputation and just recently gathered the courage -  I took things into my own hands and decided it was time to grit my teeth and do what I love, alone.

If I say I am not afraid, it would be a lie, but at least I know that whatever happens - I will have tried.

I mark the beginning of the company with a very pivotal stage in my life and that is my 'career maturation', as I like to call it. I think everyone has gone through such a 'corporate catharsis', in which they feel out of place, dissatisfied, or just do not know where to go and what their path is. I have decided to embrace this moment and turn it into a driver for development.

What are the most memorable moments or achievements from your time here so far?

The very fact that I took the first step is a huge achievement for me.

I will not forget my first client, nor my first sales pitch.
My first closed position is also extremely sentimental for me.

I remember the name of every single person I have met through recruitment and I am grateful because I learn something new from everyone.

The most memorable moments have always been when someone writes to me, “Thank you, Dani. I am now in a higher position and I am satisfied with the company you placed me in,” and reciprocally, when I see that the company is happy with the candidate.

What motivates you to stay and develop specifically in this

Organization?

I am motivated by my stubbornness and my desire for change in the field.

I want to offer something different to people - a selection process that is short, transparent, and pleasant. I want people to truly be happy in their new companies, and for companies to be happy with the people we place them with.

I want to provide world-class services and health permitting, companies of the caliber of SpaceX, to want to work with me. I want to make working with a recruiter much more pleasant, effective, and convenient for people. Work that makes sense.

I want my organization to be part of the change in the labor market.

How has your professional path changed from the first day until now – and what
has it taught you?

My professional path has not changed particularly drastically since the beginning of my career. What has changed is my attitude.

Despite my career growth, what brings me pleasure from work is communication with people and I would not trade direct work with candidates. Every single interaction for me is an experience that has taught me a lot, both about the field and how complex people are.

What are your aspirations moving forward – both for yourself and for the team or the company you are part of?

My aspirations moving forward are to contribute at least somewhat to the development of the software market in Bulgaria. I want to present a new approach  in recruitment that is individually tailored to people and their needs, as well as to those of the companies I work with.

Part of what lies ahead is the development of a subscription plan or the so-called retainer, with which we will be able to work more effectively, both with large corporate clients and with small boutique, by offering them year-round service at affordable prices, fully tailored to their needs. Thus, in addition to financial visibility, they will also have people at their disposal who will take care of their people & growth strategy. Such a plan can also be directed towards freelancers in the market, allowing them to constantly keep up with the latest technological trends, as well as with the trends in resume formatting and how they move in relation to financial remunerations in the field.
