· Chanita Belova - IVB Cosmetics

The path upward requires patience and perseverance, but it's worth it. Every step!
Introduce yourself
in a few words..
My name is Chanita Belova, an entrepreneur for 35 years. I am one of the founders of “IVB
Cosmetics” Ltd, a company that distributes perfumes and cosmetics in Bulgaria and
around the world. One of the iconic brands I have been involved in promoting for over
30 years is Golden Rose. This is one of the most successful and beloved
projects in my career.
Tell us about the
philosophy and values of the company you currently represent?
Our company is
guided by the principles of sustainability and development. We believe that through
constant efforts for improvement and integration of new technologies, we can
continuously develop and deliver added value to our clients.
Our values include transparency, ethics, and respect for all our employees
and partners. For me personally, it is important that the people in the company have the
opportunity to develop, to feel that they are doing meaningful things, so that they feel
happy.
How long have you
been developing your current company? What are the most valuable lessons that the
current period has taught you?
Our company was
founded 35 years ago, and during this period we have gone through numerous
challenges and successes. The most valuable lessons we have learned are related to
the importance of adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to learn from our mistakes.
We also realized that entrepreneurial culture and employee support are key to long-term
success.
If you personally
had to write a job advertisement, how would you attract the attention of a future
employee?
In the advertisement, I would
emphasize the opportunities for real professional development - with us,
people learn everything about the business and have the opportunity to make independent
decisions. We are looking for not just employees, but talented and motivated people who
want to think, to learn, to have things depend on them and their actions, who are not
afraid to make mistakes, and who want to develop both professionally and personally.
What does your
company do to organize a constructive and beneficial working environment for everyone?
Should people in the team be friends?
We create a
culture of absolute, two-way transparency, open dialogue, mutual
respect, and support. We are a family company, and it is important for us that people
understand and support each other, that everyone is respected and valued. Everyone should
be able to say everything openly to anyone, regardless of hierarchy.
Although it is not
mandatory for colleagues to be friends, we believe that good relationships and
a positive environment are key to our success. This way, people feel truly
happy.
What makes you
look forward to going to work? How do you deal with difficult and stressful
moments?
I look forward to
going to work because I love what I do, as well as the people I work with. There are
many stressful moments, but I plan my work, exercise, meditate,
and focus on solutions, not problems. This helps me stay
resilient and calm, as well as inspired for 35 years.
What work model
does your company adhere to – office or remote? What do you think about
the possibility of offering options for flexible working hours, within which
employees have greater freedom to balance their personal and work
commitments?
Our company
primarily relies on working in an office environment because we believe that personal
contact, spontaneous exchange of ideas, and working side by side create a strong sense of
teamwork and accelerate innovation.
Of course,
when the nature of the work allows, we also offer flexibility to
ensure a balance between personal and professional life. It is important for us that people
feel happy, connected, and supported.
How do the
continuous technological changes worldwide affect your business?
Technologies are
not only a challenge but also an opportunity. We constantly invest in innovations and
automation to stay one step ahead. This allows us to work
more efficiently, respond to customer needs, and develop
sustainably.
How important is
the hierarchy and what does it mean to you? What kind of communication do you advocate
in your company?
The hierarchy in
our company is flat and transparent. We emphasize open, direct, and honest
communication, of course with care and respect for the other. We encourage constant feedback
and believe that the best ideas can come from anyone, regardless of
their position.
What is your
career advice for all people who are building a strategy for their professional
development?
Be
proactive. Invest in yourself – learn, experiment, don't be
afraid of failure – this is the surest way to learn and develop.
Set clear goals and don't underestimate the power of a good mentor. The path upward
requires patience and perseverance, but it's worth it. Every step.
