The borders are already an illusion

At the moment we can replace the word "American" with the word "Bulgarian" in the famous phrase "The American Dream". Because here there are hundreds of successful Bulgarian entrepreneurs proving this theory!

Introduce yourself in a few words…
A person who believes in the "impossible" because he sees it every day in the achievements of the Bulgarian entrepreneur.

For you, traveling the world is?
Freedom and enrichment.

How many different countries have you seen so far? Tell us an interesting story or highlights from your travels?
Certainly over 10. The story takes place in Cyprus more than 12 years ago. I had to meet with the owner of two restaurants and an English pub with 600 seats, who invited me to a meeting at 12 o'clock at night. When I asked him why he offered such a strange hour, he told me that he was working until then – first in the restaurants (they were next to each other), and then he would serve drinks in his night establishment across from them. This culture of thinking and behavior of a business owner who achieves eight-figure turnovers every year for over 15 years left a strong impression on me.

Do you like to repeat destinations? Give examples and motivation "for" or "against"?
I really love to repeat destinations. Every destination, like most books, can be "re-read" in a new, different way every time. Regarding the motivation – it depends on what one is looking for, there is no wrong answer, but I am more "for".

What was your first trip that truly changed you as a professional and can be said to have changed your thinking?
What I told about my meeting in Cyprus.

What do you learn about yourself and your professional skills, when you are in a new cultural environment?
I affirm the fact that humanity has not only survived but is also the supreme predator on the planet, due to its ability to adapt.

Have you met people or ideas during your travels that have influenced your career path?
Everything new brings ideas for professional development. Wherever I go, I "steal" ideas worth attention, which I then adapt and implement in my work.

Do you think that your travels help you expand your professional network? How?
Certainly, but not only. Today globalization is much more advanced than it was 10–15 years ago. Online you can reach any point in the world. Thanks to the internet, business communities, and travels, I operate with partners from three continents – Africa, Asia, and Europe.

What skills do you develop the most when you travel, and how do they affect your work?
Naturally, I practice language. Communication skills and the ability to have fun. It is underestimated in a professional sense, but I value it highly.

Is there a city or country that has inspired you to start a new business or project?
I wouldn't say so.

When you are in an unfamiliar country, do you feel more motivated or more distracted? Why?
In an unfamiliar environment, I feel very focused because I want to get to know the details. That's why I love to repeat destinations – because you can't pay quality attention to the details with one or two visits.

Are there destinations that act as a "restart" for your creativity and ambition?
Greece and Italy.

How do you manage the balance between work and pleasure, when you travel?
Wonderful. I always combine the two.

How have travels changed the way you perceive the value of money?
Travels have changed my perception of the value of the added value that I provide to my clients.

Do you travel with the aim of finding new ways to earn money?
No. If I find a new way to realize during my travels – it will be a bonus.

What lessons about financial independence have you learned from different economies and cultures?
Money has no value. Value comes from what you do with it.

Do you think it is better to spend on experiences, rather than on material possessions?
Both are important nowadays. If we talk about my child – definitely experiences, because they have created unforgettable memories for a lifetime.

How do you see the future of digital nomadic life?
I already see it as the present. Over time and with new professions, this way of life will become increasingly relevant. This will also affect the real estate business – for example, in 10 years. Digital nomads do not seek ownership that anchors them in one place. They will seek to rent, to have the freedom to leave.

Are there specific countries that are more favorable for work and investments?
In my personal opinion – not from Bulgaria. At the moment we can replace the word "American" with the word "Bulgarian" in the famous phrase "The American Dream". Because here there are hundreds of successful Bulgarian entrepreneurs proving this theory.

If you could choose one place in the world to develop your next big idea, what would it be and why?
I have chosen it – and they are three: Greece, Serbia, and Africa. This is the natural development of my business.

What are the destinations you would definitely recommend to be visited and why?
I would recommend visiting every destination that does not endanger life and can be reached – and never stop. Enrichment with different cultures is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, motivation, and energy for new ideas and realization.

What is the career advice you would give based on what you have seen around the world?
This is really a boring cliché, but still: let everyone develop with what they love, because then they will do it really well. Then they will be truly rewarded for their work.
