The individual approach to people allows you to understand them better
· Radoslava Krosneva
I prefer to be healthy and happy rather than rich. However, it's not bad for a person to be able to live well and afford to travel and do the things they love!
Introduce yourself
in a few sentences..
My name is
Radoslava Krosneva. I have been working in human resources for over 20 years, 15 of
which in leadership positions. My work has always been related to people –
their teams, ambitions, conflicts, fears, dreams. I actively engage in
coaching and this is definitely my passion.
What did you
dream of becoming in your childhood?
I dreamed of becoming
a circus artist, to walk on a tightrope. It turned out that in what I do, I always
have to balance, to “keep the balance” in my work with people.
At what
age did you earn your first money? Tell us an interesting story?
I earned my first money
at the age of 16. I applied for a reporter position at a radio station and
was hired, I was the youngest in the team, but I did great. Since that
time at the radio, I became passionate about journalism. The most memorable
incident back then was my meeting with the owner of the “Hennessy” cognac. At that
age, I needed inspiration and she gave it to me. I realized that dreams come true,
as long as you strongly believe in their realization.
What are the
main factors and examples that shape us as individuals at an earlier age
and form our interests? What is your recipe for curiosity, sources
and wells of information and inspiration at this stage of our human development?
The main factors
for my development as a person at an earlier age are family, teachers, and
sports. I grew up in love and understanding in my family, my childhood
was “rosy”. As a child, I was called “Curious”. This was because I was
extremely curious and constantly asked questions. I wanted to know everything about
everything. The teachers also gave me a lot, but they also took from me. In the French
high school, I had the best but also the strictest French teacher. I am grateful to her
for the perseverance and discipline she instilled in me. Another thing that has
shaped me as a person at this early age was sports. At that time, I trained
in rhythmic gymnastics. This sport made me very disciplined and
hardworking. I drew inspiration from the gymnasts who had already
become champions.
Has there been
any significant difference in your perceptions in a more mature age regarding what
motivates you to do or not do something?
I wouldn't say that
in a more mature age there has been any significant difference in my perceptions.
I remained the same curious, disciplined, and hardworking person.
Whose decision
was it where to pursue higher education and what to study? Was this decision
correct, looking at it from today’s perspective?
When I
applied for my higher education, I was accepted everywhere for my first choice.
First, I was accepted at the Sorbonne in Paris, then journalism and Arabic studies at
Sofia University, as well as International Economic Relations at the
University of Economics in Varna. Unfortunately, I did not go to Paris because
it was difficult for my parents to support me. I really wanted to start studying
journalism, as I enjoyed my work at the radio and thought that
I could be a very good journalist. However, my parents influenced my decision
and so I enrolled in International Economic Relations. I did not part with
journalism, as I later completed it as a professional
qualification. Looking at it from today’s perspective, I only regret not going to the Sorbonne in Paris.
As for whether the decision was right or wrong, no one could say.
Maybe my path would have been the same – I would certainly have helped people.
Share more
about your interests, knowledge, skills, and hobbies?
My interests are
always directed towards people and their development, my knowledge and skills are in this
area. My hobbies are related to drawing, acting, and traveling.
Would you
change your profession today and which fields of activity capture your interest?
My professional
interests are directed towards coaching, training, and mentoring. In no way
would I change this for anything else. I love helping people achieve
higher results and be the better version of themselves, this inspires me.
They say that
the personal brand is everything that people say about you when you are not with them
in a room. What would you like to hear today?
I would like to
hear that I have helped at least one person become happier and better, this
brings me satisfaction from my work.
Emotional
intelligence, adaptability, and flexibility, as well as our soft skills are
key conditions for success in recent years. How do you cope with
the daily challenges of life to stay in good shape and
mood?
I simply wake
up with a smile, think positively, enjoy the little things because big
things rarely happen. I meditate sometimes or just contemplate some natural
beauty – I love walking in nature, and from time to time I practice
yoga.
What are the
most important conclusions you have made so far about maintaining the right
communication considering the different characters of the people you meet
daily – colleagues, friends, relatives?
I have a different
approach to each person, I adapt to them and always try to understand them, to put myself in their shoes.
What do you think
about money? What is their influence on your life? What is your advice to
people who often ask themselves questions related to money and how sufficient they are?
Money is important,
but not the most important thing. As people say, health and happiness cannot be
bought with money. I prefer to be healthy and happy rather than rich. However, it’s not bad
for a person to be able to live well and afford to travel and do the
things they love.
What is the
most valuable career advice you would give to people?
I have a favorite
phrase “Those who are born to fly never crawl”. I would tell everyone
to fly, to dream, and to pursue their goals persistently and straightforwardly. With more
work and discipline, they will achieve everything they desire.
