Stepping out of the comfort zone opens new perspectives
· Asen Ivanov

Be more self-critical, assume that there is more context than what you see at first glance, and do not rush to speak and judge!
On June 20, 2025, the birthday is celebrated by:
Asen Konstantinov Ivanov. I am currently the creative director at 23
Broadway.
How
do you feel on your birthday and what do you associate with the beginning of this new personal
year for you?
Summer has always been an active and positive period for me. After winter hibernation and spring fatigue, during the summer
I consciously accumulate emotions and impressions. It can truly be said that summer
marks the start of the year and the turning of the cycle. For me, this year is “more” –
bringing a more-precise balance between the professional and personal plan, a more tempered approach to situations in
life and focuses me on a more careful choice of battles.
Which
moment from the past year would you define as the most meaningful or transformative
in personal and/or professional plan?
Change always brings that feeling of transformation. For me, the past year brought a change
of the industry in which I have been developing for 20 years,
the feeling that I am outside my comfort zone, the opportunity to learn something new and to
discover a new perspective – all things that I was missing.
What
career goals do you set for your new life year?
To continue learning and developing – and along the way to preserve my ability to be
enchanted and fascinated by the process itself.
This energizes me.
What is the most-valuable
career lesson that life has presented to you so far?
To be more-patient and even more curious.
The first is not very inherent to me and that is why life often reminds me how
important it is. And the second – I often forget how much fun it can bring with it.
What
do you wish for yourself and what would you like to inspire in others through your personal
example?
I wish for health and luck.
Not so much through personal example, but rather by sharing experience – here is what has brought me
professional and personal growth: Be more self-critical, assume
that there is more context than what you see at first glance, and do not rush to
speak and judge. These steps have always led me to a more-refined, more holistic and better accepted final
result.
And
in the end - I wish everyone health and luck.
