The strong personal brand leads to trust in our expertise, and that opens doors
· Andjelika Dzhambazova

Authenticity is the heart. If you lose it, everything becomes a pose. It is maintained by allowing yourself to be imperfect and not pretending to be the version that is 'for sale'!
Introduce
yourself in a few words…
My name is Andjelika Dzhambazova. Actress and creator of video content at
Satirical Theater 'Aleko Konstantinov' and lecturer in stage speech at
Theater College 'Lyuben Groys'. I work with voice, emotion, and the human truth behind
words. By nature, I am an empath and a slightly chaotic dreamer who believes that the stage,
be it theatrical, video, or everyday, can change.
How would you
define a personal brand and why is it so important today?
A personal brand is the impression that remains of you when you are no longer in the room.
It is not a photo, not a CV or logo, but what you radiate. The voice, the posture,
words, the topics you address. In a world where attention is fleeting,
the personal brand is like a monologue that is remembered – clear and personal.
How
did you start building your personal brand? What motivates you?
I don't think I started building it consciously. As an actor, you get used to carrying
stories, both your own and others'. I simply share what excites me, talk about what
weighs on me and what lifts me up. It was not planned as a strategy.
People began to recognize themselves in these things. My motivation has always been
human – to reach out to those who feel alone or invisible, and remind them that they are not.
What are
the most important elements of a successful personal brand?
Authenticity,
consistency, and honesty. My teaching work has proven to me that not only
what you say matters, but how you say it and what you do. You cannot teach
your students something you do not believe in. They sense the falseness instantly. If you are true
to yourself and are there regularly with thought and meaning, things happen.
How can we
find our niche and unique value?
I think it
is already within us, we just haven't named it yet. Think about what you do with ease,
where people come to you for help or advice. What deeply ignites you
and makes you feel truly alive. Our value is not in what we are 'good' at, but in what excites us to the point that we cannot help but do it.
Should the
personal brand be built around personality or expertise?
Both. But
it starts with personality. Expertise attracts attention, personality retains it.
I know actors who are magnificent on stage and in front of the camera, but the personality
behind the professional is unable to work in a team and leave
their ego at home, and one by one the doors in front of them close.
What first
steps would you recommend to someone who is just starting?
To get to know
their voice – literally and metaphorically. Not to wait for the perfect moment. To share, without
fear of being trivial. To read a lot, to watch quality cinema, to
observe. To cultivate professional habits within themselves. To be honest. Not to
forget that they are on this earth for a short time, which brings great freedom!
What
platforms are most suitable for developing a personal brand today?
Those that
feel close to you. If you love to talk – podcast. If you like the aesthetic
side of things – Instagram. If you love to write – blog, Substack or
LinkedIn. If you want to express yourself through video – Tiktok. True presence
is much stronger than the algorithm.
What role
does authenticity play in a personal brand and how do we maintain it?
Authenticity
is the heart. If you lose it, everything becomes a pose. It is maintained by allowing yourself
to be imperfect and not pretending to be the version that is 'for sale'.
How do we
create content that engages and builds trust?
Like a good
stage – with rhythm, with truth, and with openness. By seeking authentic things, not
sensationalism. By asking questions, rather than just throwing out 'wisdoms'. Trust,
in my opinion, does not come from the perfect text and image, but from the feeling that there is a person in front of you with whom you can resonate.
What are
the most common mistakes people make when building a personal brand?
Perhaps,
copying someone else's formula. Striving to be liked at any cost. This is
superficial, unsustainable, and impossible. I also consider impatience a mistake.
Everything comes in its own time, take it easy!
How do we
deal with negative comments and criticism?
First, I ask myself:
'Is there a grain of truth in this?' If yes – I learn. If not – I don't pay attention.
People often comment from their own pain, not from your reality.
Imagine what is happening in the mind and heart of someone who throws
hate without reason. It is probably not easy for them. I think that if approached with empathy,
negativism quickly melts into understanding.
How do we
avoid burnout when investing a lot of effort in our personal brand?
By reminding ourselves that nothing is at any cost. That we cannot control everything. That
the 'pause' also carries energy. Silence is also part of the voice. You are not obliged to always
be 'online' to be significant. Meditation, dancing, swimming. Any
physical activities could help us not to overheat. And small steps
every day, because when we set huge goals, everything seems much
more daunting.
How can a
strong personal brand lead to more opportunities (jobs, partnerships,
clients)?
A strong personal
brand leads to trust in our expertise. When you are consistent, hardworking, and
honest, people start to trust. And trust opens doors – to jobs,
partnerships, friendships, stages.
What are
the best ways to monetize a personal brand?
It depends on what
you are engaged in. In the acting profession, we ourselves are the product and for it to be 'bought', we must have built it with value. Monetization comes
as a natural consequence when there is already value. Selling is not my focus.
Giving is.
When is
the right moment to start offering paid services or products?
When you have
accumulated experience and expertise. When you have built trust. And when you have something
to offer that is genuinely useful, not just 'another thing to sell'.
I started teaching when I realized that stage speech could help
not only actors but anyone who wants to be heard.
How do we
maintain sustainability and long-term growth of the personal brand?
By
perceiving growth as a marathon, not a sprint. By allowing ourselves to change,
instead of locking ourselves into an already established image. Sustainability comes from internal
discipline, not from external show.
What habits
and discipline are needed to build authority?
Consistency,
reading, learning, listening. Not to speak much, but timely and accurately. Not to promise
more than you can give. To be professionally ready. And most importantly –
to never stop being curious.
Which personalities
with a successful personal brand inspire you and why?
I am mostly inspired by those who have not only built an image but have remained genuine and
human. They are often colleagues, not necessarily famous, but generous and meaningful in
their work. My friends, some of whom are engaged in noble causes.
My inspirations are not on covers, but in everyday life.
What three
specific things can people do today to improve their personal
brand?
To record
a voice note and hear not how they sound, but what they say. To be
consistent and sincere. To set clear goals and work a little every day for them with love.
