Titles come and go, but the way you make people feel leaves a mark

True leadership is not in power, but in the connection you build with the people around you!

On June 23, 2025, celebrates a birthday:

Ivelina Zhelezcheva - Director of Human Resources by position, but mostly by heart.
I have been working in this field for nearly 20 years and currently I am VP of People at Constructor Tech -  a company that unites technologies, innovations, and talents from all over the world.

I love to connect people with meaning, and organizations with the potential of their people. I can safely say that for me HR is not just a profession, but a calling to listen, lead, change, and believe in the person, even when they themselves do not yet do it.

How do you feel on your birthday and what do you associate with the beginning of this new personal year for you?

I feel grateful, calm, and joyful. Surrounded by love and with the people who make me feel at home, no matter where I am.

For me, my birthday has never been just a date, it is a small stop for awareness. I look back with gratitude and then look forward with faith and curiosity.

My new personal year begins with the feeling that I am exactly where I need to be. And that the best is yet to come, because I am ready to create it.

Which moment from the past year would you define as the most meaningful or transformative in a personal and/or professional sense?

The most meaningful moment was when I allowed myself to stop, to step off the rhythm of “must” and to ask myself the question “And how do I actually want it to be?”.

In a professional sense, this led to a deeper presence in my work.

In a personal sense, it led to more joy in the small and simple things.

Sometimes the greatest transformation is not in external achievement, but in the way you rediscover yourself.

What career goals do you set for your new life year?

  1. To continue to develop and to rediscover myself.
  2. To successfully implement the projects, that I have already started.
  3. To have more time for myself and for my loved ones.

What is the most valuable career lesson that life has taught you so far?

Titles come and go, but the way you make people feel leaves a mark. True leadership is not in power, but in the connection you build with the people around you, in the example you set, and in the way you make them feel.

What do you wish for yourself and what would you like to inspire in others through your personal example?

I wish for myself the courage to continue on the path of the new and unknown.

I want to continue to inspire others to believe in themselves and not to wait for the “perfect moment”, but boldly embrace what brings them joy and satisfaction.
