Hello, my name is Valeriya Zaharieva and I lead the department “Strategic Partnerships and Integrations” at Evrotrust. What does this mean in practice? My job is to connect our certification services, such as remote identification and electronic signing, with various software systems, such as DMS, CRM, HR. The main goal behind this is to create legally compliant and easy-to-implement digital solutions.

The greatest satisfaction for me comes from the fact that we help clients in over 58 countries optimize their processes. And even more exciting is that all this happens thanks to a Bulgarian technology company that is changing the way Europe and beyond view digitalization.

How many years have you been with the company? How do you feel about it and what does this stage mean for you?

I have been with the company for four years – a time during which I never stop feeling inspired. Every new project and integration that we implement brings a sense of purpose and the creation of something valuable and different.

This stage of my career gives me a clear perspective – on the real needs of the market, on the potential of technologies, and even on the need for legislative changes and unified European regulations. I have gained valuable experience, which helps me not only to apply my knowledge but to see further – towards the future of digital services.

And most importantly – I believe more strongly that what we are doing matters. For companies, for people, and for the world around us.

What are the most memorable moments or achievements from your time here so far?

I am fortunate to have many memorable moments and achievements behind me. Among the most significant for me are the integrations with global platforms such as DocuSign, Adobe, Salesforce, DocuWare, PDF Extra and InSign, as well as our collaboration with Bulgarian HR software companies to create the first digital employment records.

The moment when, after months of effort, we received certification as a provider of electronic signatures and identification for Kenya was extremely exciting – proof that the need for secure digitalization transcends European borders.

Besides Bulgaria and Kenya, today our services are already part of the processes of leading banks and institutions in Romania, North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, and many others. The fact that we save time, resources, and provide legal security to thousands of people and organizations is not just a professional achievement – it is a cause that I take personally and I am sincerely proud of.

What motivates you to stay and develop in this organization?

The position I hold allows me to create partnerships with companies from all over the world, serving different needs and clients. In this regard, I have constantly new challenges, in a positive sense for me. The friendly atmosphere in our team is also very important to me, as well as the support I receive from all colleagues - directly or indirectly involved with my responsibilities. The company also creates space for real development – both professionally and personally. We have access to training, internal and external events, joint initiatives, and others that broaden our horizons. Four years ago, I started to develop the “Partnerships” department on my own, today I already have two people in my team, a developed stable structure, and strong connections with the other units. This is progress that is felt, seen, and appreciated.

How has your professional path changed from the first day until now – and what has it taught you?

I have learned a lot, grown a lot, matured a lot during my entire professional journey. Before embarking on it, I was again involved in innovative solutions, but in the telecommunications business. At that time, we were implementing systems for servicing SMS messages as business communication - a topic and opportunity, which was completely dismissed until it proved its effectiveness and usefulness for businesses. Just like now - none of us imagined a few years ago that we would sign in an electronic environment securely and with the power of a handwritten signature or share, sitting on the couch in our living room, personal data that is encrypted and protected. But now it is a reality and personally, I cannot imagine printing a document on paper for signing, regardless of which system services the process that requires it. Or sitting for several hours in the bank's office to open an account or request a loan. I suppose you can’t either? 😊

I learned that change is the only way and path to something better, and the fear of change is only in our heads.

What are your aspirations moving forward – both for yourself and for the team or company you are part of?

I strive for continuous development – because I believe that when I grow as a professional, I give more not only to myself but also to the team, the company, and everyone we work with. I wish for the “Partnerships” department to continue to grow, to expand our reach and deepen our existing connections. Our team has a common dream - to leave our clear mark in the digital world, as we continue to create solutions for electronic signing, remote identification, and secure sharing of personal data. Because “we too have given something to the world...” and I believe we have much more to show and give in the future.
