Inspired by music and holistic massage therapy

Let's learn to have proper relationships with others. This way we will have a healthy family, team, and clients who appreciate everything we do!

Introduce yourself in a few sentences!
I am Boryana Bekirska, I have been a musician since I was 6 years old and I play in the trio "Hypnotic". In recent years, I have another calling – alternative medicine. I work as a holistic massage therapist and create healing cosmetic and food products based on fermentation in support of the microbiome. My brand is called "Biom Miracles by BoryanaCare", or for short, I am called BoryanaCare. I live and work entirely in the countryside, Plovdiv region, where I also grew up. I am the creator of 44 healing products for beauty and health so far. My partner in life is Vladi Hristov, who is focused on restoring soils through clean agriculture in support of mineral balance. Together we conduct lectures at different events in the country regarding people's health and clean food. We expect to welcome the third member of the family around the Christmas and New Year holidays.

What did you dream of becoming in your childhood?
I grew up in a small town (Saeidinenie) and had the opportunity to enjoy a happy childhood, surrounded by many loving relatives, whom every child would admire and want to resemble. In general, I wanted to become everything I saw and tried as skills in my early years. I am a creative person first and foremost – connected to nature, people, art in all its forms. I liked encyclopedias with interesting places around the world and I have always loved to travel. I would define myself as a versatile person with many skills in different areas. This unfolded in adulthood as well.

At what age did you earn your first money? Tell us about an interesting incident?
As children, we helped our parents because they were engaged in agriculture for a while. Accordingly, our salary was one ice cream. After that, we had various extracurricular activities like local customs and traditions in our town and also we collected money from our performances during the holidays Lazarovden and Tsvetnitsa. As a teenager, I participated in community competitions and concerts and there we already had fixed fees for performances and a few won awards. I have always received school scholarships for high grades. I have also worked in the fashion business – I started with competitions and participated in various photo shoots. I have played in various musical projects in Bulgaria and abroad. These are my memories from my early years.

What are the main factors and examples that shape us as individuals at an early age and form our interests? What is your recipe for curiosity, sources, and wells of information and inspiration in this stage of our human development?
At the earliest age, these are our parents. Our relationships determine whether we will have decades of trauma and difficulties ahead, or skills and good qualities for adaptability. Even in my early years, I had mentors – that’s what I call them. Some special people in my life who have pushed me forward, to develop my talents and show me their example. The more access to books and such special people a child has, the more open doors there will be in their life.

Has there been any significant change in your perceptions in adulthood regarding what motivates you to do or not do something?
There is no difference between early and mature years. I have always tried new things, followed my inner morality and criteria for what I want to do and how this should be evaluated externally. I have worked in different fields and with new people constantly, and I have always learned something from everyone. I have had periods when I have refused work and preferred to wait for months until I felt motivated to engage in something new. From the outside, I may seem lazy, but I have always considered this to be the smarter move – to carefully choose my environment and activity.

Whose decision was it where to pursue higher education and what to study? Was that decision correct, looking back today?
Higher education is a natural continuation of the profession – at least in my case for those years. I graduated from the Music Academy in Sofia and this taught me independence in the big city, where I had to prove myself in an absolutely unknown place without close ones and support. This gave me mainly the strength and confidence that everything depends entirely on me.

Share more about your interests, knowledge, skills, and hobbies?
I have always loved to play sports outdoors because we were such children from a young age. Over the years, I have participated in tournaments and switched between different sports that strengthen willpower, tone the body, and maintain the desire for success. I love to paint – this is another hobby of mine. Recently, I allowed myself to dedicate time to another passion of mine – photography. I meet amazing Bulgarian photographers of world level and I have the honor to draw knowledge from them in photography school.

Would you change your profession today and which fields of activity capture your interest?
I already changed it when in 2017 I found myself in an incredible working environment in England in the field of SPA and Wellness therapies. This propelled me into another reality, which I have not stopped developing since then – alternative medicine and the holistic approach to each person. I am the creator of 44 products for treating the skin and gut microbiome, I have clients – Bulgarians from all over the world, and their recognition to come to my workshop in Saeidinenie. This gives me complete professional satisfaction and meaning in my life, besides personal, of course.

They say that personal branding is everything that people say about you when you are not in the same room with them. What would you like to hear today?
I am happy every time a client comes to me and tells me that they never stop recommending me to their close ones. I actually do not spend money on ads and I don’t even have a website. The reason is that clients have found me themselves and they are my advertisement. I call my activity artisanal / boutique, strictly specific, unique in its kind, luxurious and healing. It speaks for itself and reaches people with a certain vibration, as I like to express it. For me, clients are everything that gives meaning to my activity and it develops to such scales, in which I feel freedom of self-expression.

Emotional intelligence, adaptability, and flexibility, as well as our soft skills are key conditions for success in recent years. How do you cope with the daily challenges of life to stay in good condition and mood?
At first, it was not easy for me, especially when I was producing healing products for another personal brand. I had to adapt to a more aggressive environment – male and with a heightened ego of the author. It took me at least a year to break away from this influence and way of working and to learn to convey my feminine softness and attitude in my personal brand. Working with clients is quite colorful in terms of communication and the less emotions driven by ego we bring in, the more effective we are and will leave a good impression on the other side.
To maintain good emotional health, it is necessary to prioritize some things, and that is self-care. Good and regular sleep, clean food, and clean relationships. Movement and physical activity should be done every day outdoors – this is an investment in our health and future. I am a walking example of what I teach and convey to my clients (of course, I do not mention the difficult challenges that each of us has, but strives to improve).

What are the most important conclusions you have made so far about maintaining proper communication considering the different characters of the people you meet daily – colleagues, friends, relatives?
To intuitively sense from the very beginning of communication how the person across is "tuned" and based on that to orient myself to what is the healthy distance that can be of help to both them and me. I am far from the idea that I need to heal and help everyone. My approach is individual towards the other.

What do you think about money? What is their influence on your life? What is your advice to people who often ask themselves questions related to money and how sufficient they are?
Money is a means – an exchange of resources in the modern world. They are energy that, if you do not know how to manage, will create unnecessary problems for you. Knowing how much to invest in assets, another in your work, a third in your family, and a fourth – in your personal desires and free time. This is my shortest advice: manage them according to these criteria and you will be happy – with much and with little.

What is the most valuable career advice you would give to people?
Invest in self-knowledge. The more aware a person is of themselves, the sooner they will orient themselves to what they can do and what brings them pleasure to do with ease and joy. The other is to learn to have proper relationships with others. This way we will have a healthy family, team, and clients who appreciate everything we do.
