It is not necessary to be an authority for everyone, it is important to be one for the people who recognize and appreciate you

There are exceptionally many talented people who do not develop the full potential of what they can!

Introduce yourself in a few words..

My name is Aida Burnuchyan. I am the creator of the gift brand NoteBox, through which I combine my love for detail and the desire, together with my colleagues, to create emotions. Outside of it, I work in PR and marketing - fields where I find meaning in meeting people and in the stories that are worth being told. I believe in working with a cause, and it is my priority. There, every challenge turns into an opportunity.

How would you define a personal brand and why is it so important today?

A personal brand is the sum of everything that other people associate with you – your skills, values, the way you communicate, the impression and the trace you leave. It is not just a business card, but the feeling that people have when they hear your name or interact with you.

How did you start building your personal brand? What motivates you?

Building my personal brand started unplanned. From a small idea from a close person, I, of course, embraced it and accepted it immediately.. That’s how my company was born – a gift shop, created with love and with the mission to turn life’s moments into beautiful memories.

Everything started from my love for receiving gifts hahaJ Othat’s where my conviction started that people deserve more than an “ordinary” gift – they deserve a gesture that carries meaning and says something personal with a message: “Thank you”, “I love you”, “You are important to me”. This belief motivates me to build not just a business, but a brand with the cause of creating emotion through detail. For me, a personal brand is not just a professional presentation, but a reflection of values. In the case of my company, these are attention, style and authenticity. These are exactly what guide me in my work in PR and marketing, because I believe that when you are genuine and consistent, people not only recognize you - they trust you.

What are the most important elements of a successful personal brand?

For me, a successful personal brand is based on authenticity, consistency, and meaning. When we add emotion, it not only distinguishes us, but also leaves a lasting impression in the minds of others.

How to find your niche and unique value?

It is about discovering the intersection between what you love to do, what you are good at, and what people need. I notice that there are exceptionally many talented people who do not develop the full potential of what they can. When you discover it and start to trust it, it will reward you.

Should the personal brand be built around personality or around expertise?

A personal brand is successful when it combines personality and expertise. Expertise shows what you are good at and why people can trust you, and personality shows who you are and what makes you different. When these two elements work together, the brand becomes authentic, memorable, and accessible to people.

What first steps would you recommend to someone who is just starting out?

First of all, be consistent and authentic - this builds trust and shows who you are. Secondly, but no less important, is to find more experienced people from whom to learn and gain knowledge, ideas, and guidance. The combination of your own authenticity and mentorship accelerates the development of the personal brand.

What platforms are most suitable for developing a personal brand today?

In my opinion, there is no need to be everywhere. It’s better to choose one or two platforms that suit you and where your “people” are, and focus there. This way, you will have a much greater effect.

What role does authenticity play in a personal brand and how to maintain it?

Authenticity is the most important thing in a personal brand. People feel, when you are genuine, and that builds trust.

How to create content that engages and builds trust?

Content engages and builds trust when it is useful, personal, and consistent. People want not only information but also a human perspective - shared experience, personal stories, and authentic behavior.

What are the most common mistakes people make when building a personal brand?

Most often, people make mistakes when they try to look like someone else or when they are not consistent and scatter.

How to deal with negative comments and criticism?

Negative comments and criticism are inevitable on the internet. It is important to be able to filter the constructive, and just let the rest pass. On the internet, every wonder lasts for 3 days, sometimes even less. But if many hurt you and you overthink the negative comments, I would recommend you simply not to read them.

How to avoid burnout when investing a lot of effort in your personal brand?

It is important to set boundaries and plan your time. Investing in a personal brand is long-term. Take care of yourself and it will pay off.

How can a strong personal brand lead to more opportunities (jobs, partnerships, clients)?

A strong personal brand builds trust and recognition. When people know who you are, what you value, and what you can do, they are more likely to choose you for jobs, partnerships, or clients. The personal brand works for you and opens doors that would otherwise remain closed.

What are the best ways to monetize a personal brand?

A personal brand can bring you income when people see value in what you offer - whether through services, products, training, or partnerships.

When is the right time to start offering paid services or products?

There is no “exact” moment. It should be when you are confident that you can solve a real problem or offer an experience that people are willing to pay for.

How to maintain sustainability and long-term growth of the personal brand?

Sustainability and long-term growth come from consistency, authenticity, and continuous learning. It is important to maintain a connection with your audience, to adapt the content to their needs, and to invest in your personal development, because your brand grows along with you.

What habits and discipline are needed to build authority?

First of all, live according to your values and clearly show who you are. And also something important - it is not necessary to be an authority for everyone, it is important to be one for the people who recognize and appreciate you.

Which personalities with a successful personal brand inspire you and why?

I immediately tell you about people like Martin Dimitrov from Nitram, Chavdar Vlachkov from the National Network for Development, and Michaela from Femmeperium. Each of them has built a brand that is authentic and consistent, shows expertise, and creates value for people. I like how they have found their style and tone, and how they manage to convey their messages in a way that engages and makes them recognizable to the general public.

What three specific things can people do today to improve their personal brand?

Today, you can share useful content, show your true self, and start communicating consistently - this makes the personal brand stronger.
