Introduce yourself in a few sentences. What does your work as daily commitments consist of?

My name is Bilyana Krasimirova and I am the owner of an academy for style and elegance "Be you" – a place where I train professionals on how to build an aura, behavior, and style that correspond to their essence and ambitions. My work is a combination of creativity, psychology, fashion, and etiquette – every day I help people discover their individuality and turn it into a personal brand.

In which country and city do you currently live and how did you end up there?

I live between Germany and Bulgaria. Life brought me to Germany, where I found new professional opportunities and inspiration for expanding my international activities.

At the same time, Bulgaria remains my home and source of strength – that’s why I divide my time between the two countries.

What were the biggest challenges you faced at the beginning of your stay?

The biggest challenge was adapting to the different culture and way of communication. In Germany, everything moves with precision and structure, while in Bulgaria we rely more on emotion and improvisation. I found a way to combine the two – discipline and creativity.

How did you overcome the language barrier (if there was one)?

Yes, there was one. I overcame it with daily discipline. Every day I studied for 6-7 hours.

The environment I am in there requires presence and professionalism.

What resources or networks (local communities, colleagues, organizations) helped you adapt?

I connected with various businesses and entered the politics of Germany, as well as organizations that support people in need.

These contacts helped me understand the market, attitudes, and opportunities for development in a new environment.

I am very happy that I received such a strong start from Germany.

What are the main differences between the work culture in your current country and that in Bulgaria?

In Germany, stability, planning, and accuracy are valued. In Bulgaria – flexibility and creativity. Success, in my opinion, comes when you can balance between the two.

What values and practices in the workplace impressed you the most?

I was impressed by the respect for personal time and personal boundaries, as well as the high level of professionalism – people keep their word and the quality.

I like the commitment in Germany.

Have there been situations where cultural differences have challenged you?

Yes, there have been such moments, but they are isolated cases, only at the beginning. In Bulgaria, we are more emotional and expressive, while in Germany the communication style is more reserved. Over time, I learned to sense when to be more reserved and when to show my authentic energy.

How does finding a job differ in your current country compared to your homeland?

In Germany, the process is more structured – everything is done according to plan, with systems and clear criteria. In Bulgaria, however, personal contact and first impressions often decide – something I use to my advantage when working internationally.

Did you have to go through any additional qualification courses?

Yes, I continued my education in the field of international etiquette, fashion management, and personal branding. I believe that learning never stops, and it brings me joy.

Have you encountered prejudices or obstacles because of your foreign origin?

I have always believed that professionalism and personal aura speak louder than origin.

In Germany, they value being open to them and generally to different topics. They love to discuss 😊

What would you advise people who want to take a similar step?

To be prepared and flexible.

Not to be afraid to start over.

If you could go back, would you choose the same path?

Yes, without a doubt. This path made me bolder, more focused, and gave me the opportunity to create something that transcends borders.

What do you miss most from your homeland in professional and personal terms?

The warmth in communication, spontaneity, and the inspiration that Bulgarian women bring. I love being among creative and inspiring personalities. And in Bulgaria, I meet many such people.

Have you considered returning and under what conditions would you do it?

Yes, I often return – not only physically but also through my projects. Bulgaria will always be a part of me and of my mission to elevate the level of style, ethics, and self-respect among Bulgarians.

What do you think about money? What is its influence on your life? What is your advice to people who often ask themselves questions related to money and how sufficient they are?

Money is energy – a reflection of how much value we give and how much we allow ourselves to receive. They are not a goal, but a result of inner harmony and a clear vision. My advice is: do not chase money. Build value and they will find you on their own. Think about what you can give and how you can help your clients.
