Desislava Nedelcheva is a leader in the conscious beauty industry, Founder and visionary of FACE YOGA GYM, master mentor and creator of the professional society of experts in natural beauty

Introduce yourself in a few sentences – who are you today as a person, professional, and woman?
Today I am a woman who lives in a deep connection with herself, with her family, and with her mission.
I have been living in Denmark for 18 years, where the Scandinavian way of life – grounding, respect for nature, and joy in the little things – has shaped my philosophy and my approach to beauty and women's leadership.
Professionally, I am a founder and visionary, master mentor, and creator of the first professional society of experts in conscious rejuvenation.
I come from the world of architecture and corporate management as a portfolio project leader – an experience that built the structure, strategy, and leadership intellect upon which my Academy stands today.
But at the core of everything lies: my family and deep gratitude for life.
Today I combine all of this – science, intuition, beauty, and humanity.

How does a lady entrepreneur feel when the Day of the Woman Entrepreneur arrives? What does this day mean for you personally and professionally?
For me, this day is a quiet gesture of respect for the women who follow their hearts.
It reminds me that every step I take can inspire another woman — and that each of us carries our little Universe of strength and tenderness.

What did you dream of as a child? Is there something from those dreams that still drives you forward?
Since childhood, I have loved to draw a lot, I won competitions, and over time I became passionate about architecture.
I dreamed of creating beauty – first through architecture, then through space design, and today through “the architecture of the face and soul.”
The dream to create and help people feel authentic – it still drives me.

At what age did you earn your first money and what was the feeling? Share a funny or instructive incident.
One night in Denmark, in the noisy silence of a magazine factory, I stood by the assembly line – a student with dreams, a helmet on my head, and immense curiosity. The work was simple but rhythmic: brochure after brochure, magazine after magazine. The night shift teaches you to listen to the machines, to count the seconds, and to get to know your own endurance.
Around 3 a.m., fatigue embraced me like a heavy blanket. My eyes closed for a moment… and the machine stopped. They woke me up, everything continued, and I – with the slightly shy smile of someone who has tested their limits – returned to the line. Next to me was my good friend; we shared the worry of whether we would be paid and at the same time that quiet feeling that we were doing something real.
They paid us an amount that covered my dorm rent for a whole month. I remember how the phone in my hand trembled with excitement when I called my parents – not just to brag, but to declare: “From now on, I will manage on my own.” This was not just a salary. This was the first clear sign that I could be independent and create value.

How did your entrepreneurial journey begin? Do you remember your first steps, the emotions, and the difficulties back then?
It began when I realized that the structure of the corporate world builds me, but my dreams are bigger.
And the true catalyst was something deeper. A desire for self-development and curiosity about natural practices for natural beauty.
I remember how the changes in my first clients in my beauty studio in Denmark changed me forever.

What challenges did you face in the beginning and which taught you the most?
In the beginning, the hardest part was explaining to the world an idea that did not yet exist anywhere – meditative facial gymnastics as a path to conscious rejuvenation.
The challenges taught me resilience and not to wait for approval when I know I am on the right path.

What is the most difficult moment in your career or business and how did you manage to overcome it?
The most difficult moment was when my son developed a rare skin disease and we were in the hospital for 8 weeks. I had a full calendar and everything collapsed overnight.
When you see your child suffering, you understand what is truly important.
It shook me.
It broke me – and rebuilt me.
In seeking solutions for him, I discovered the power of touch, of a holistic approach, of the nervous system, of natural regeneration.
This was the key to my transformation.
The moment I realized that my mission is bigger than myself.
Thus, the methodology was born, thus the Academy was born, thus the professional society was born.
From pain – I created meaning.

And what is your greatest success so far – that moment when you said to yourself “It was worth it”?
Every person who changes through my work.
But the greatest success is the moment when the women from the Academy for instructors in meditative face yoga and gua sha massages tell me:
“Desi, you brought us back to ourselves.”
Then I know that everything has made sense.

What is your greatest lesson as an entrepreneur and as a woman leader?
That true leadership is serving.
And that a woman leader is strong because she allows herself to be gentle.

Which people or experiences from your childhood have had the greatest influence on who you are today?
My family taught me to dream boldly and to be hardworking. Architectural thinking – to arrange my world as a structure.
This made me a person who believes that every change starts from within and manifests outward.
The love in my family taught me that there are no limits for a person who returns to their truth.

How do you maintain your curiosity and inspiration – what are your sources of energy, knowledge, and new ideas?
Traveling, nature, education, meditation, and working with the women from the Academy.
My family is my harbor.
The Scandinavian nature – my grounding.
The women from the Academy – my inspiration.
And the face – my endless source of knowledge.
Denmark taught me to live slowly, consciously, in harmony.
And to believe that beauty is life in balance.

Has your perception of what motivates you and how you measure your success changed over the years?
Yes. Before, success was a result achieved on time.
Today, success is a feeling. Freedom. Peace. Creating value.
And measuring it – by how many people return to me with gratitude.

How did you decide where and what to study? If you could go back, would you choose the same?
Architecture was my first great calling – and I would choose it again. I then developed myself to the highest rank and level of the corporate world as a portfolio project manager for several sites in an international company.
At the same time, I graduated from the Holistic University in Denmark for skin therapists and instructors in face yoga and gua sha massages.
This experience gave me the thinking that I use today to “design” methodologies, trainings, and transformations.

What helped you the most in the transition from education to entrepreneurship?
Belief in myself and the shared, inspiring stories of the people I help.

How do you maintain your personal brand and how would you like people to talk about you when you are not in the room?
With authenticity. With presence. With a clear vision.
And I would like people to say:
“Desislava – she is a woman who brings you back to yourself. Who creates, not just teaches.”

Women’s leadership is often associated with empathy and resilience. How do you balance strength and softness in managing people and processes?
With clear boundaries and high emotional intelligence.
Strength is to lead.
Softness is to inspire.
Leadership is the art of combining the two.

How does a lady entrepreneur maintain herself – what helps you to always be in shape, inspired, and confident?
With care for the body, mind, and spirit.
With yoga practices – my personal source of radiance and harmony.
With movement, meditation, quality food, breathing, and conscious touch.

What are your rituals or practices for emotional intelligence, balance, and harmony in a busy daily life?
Morning grounding.
Breathing practices.
Evening massage techniques for releasing the face and mind.
And time with family – my most important support.

What place do money occupy in your perception of success? What is your personal principle regarding financial independence and satisfaction?
Money is energy – they follow the value we create.
But they are not a goal, but a tool.
My principle:
Serve – and abundance follows.

What advice would you give to ladies who are considering starting their own business but are still hesitant?
Start and follow your dreams and the feeling inside yourself.
Courage comes after action, not before it.
And remember – every woman carries within her a visionary, as long as she believes.

What makes you feel truly successful – personal satisfaction, achievements, influence on others, or something else?
When I see the transformation in people's eyes.
The freedom to be myself.
My family.
The women I change.
And the mission that outlives every project.

What do you want to leave behind – in your organization, community, or in the world?
The methodology. Academy. Society. Opportunities. Women's power.
And a culture of conscious rejuvenation that will continue to inspire generations to come.
