I could have become a doctor, but I chose music and fashion design

I dreamed of becoming a pop singer and I fulfilled my dream. I never thought I would gain such popularity. I worked on myself and the music and didn’t think about anything else but to create the perfect songs. And to this day, I don’t stop dreaming and being completely dedicated to my career.

 

I received my first money from my father. The condition was to replant the vineyard and with the earned money to go to the sea with friends in Sozopol. This became a habit for me and I did it for years. I received my first fee as a performer through my work with the group Domino - I was a first-year student at the conservatory and was chosen as the soprano. We had several concerts and of course, we received fees for that.

 

I grew up in a family of teachers. My parents were very hardworking people, we had a large yard with vineyards and a vegetable garden. I actively helped. As a child, I also liked gymnastics. For many years I trained almost professionally. I can categorically say that sports and work habits shape will, responsibility, consistency, and patience. From a young child, the desire to sing appeared in me. I took accordion lessons. My grandfather and mother played the violin. This has always inspired me. As a child, the older kids would “drag” me with them to the cinema and concerts. My world was colorful, extraordinary, and inspiring. In the absence of social networks, my childhood was filled with books, movies, listening to records, and playing with friends.

 

Many things have changed over the years, my life is very dynamic and I have to be able to adapt and adjust in the most elegant way. I have one advantage – I engage in things I love and this in some way creates ease. I never lack motivation when I have already set a goal. All my energy is directed towards the goal and the people with whom I can achieve it.

 

As a student at the elite Russian high school in Pleven, I participated in two chemistry and biology Olympiads, which I won, and with which I entered the medical academy in Pleven. This was also my father's strong desire – for me to become a doctor. At the same time, I was also the soloist of the school choir, and I sang with a group at the Topalski community center. For me, music was magic and everything pulled me towards it. My father firmly insisted that I enter a medical university, but my mother managed to persuade him to let me try my luck at the conservatory. I applied and got in, thus began my path to music.

 

I love reading, watching movies, going to the gym, and hiking. I realized that I can also cook some things and I even enjoy it. As a child, I helped my mother sew various clothes and later I realized that fashion is my second passion. Years later, within 24 months, I created and participated in five fashion shows, as well as two interior projects.

 

I would not change my profession for anything in the world at this stage, but one day, if I make such a decision, I will create fashion collections.. I will turn to my other passion – fashion.

 

Irina Florin is a girl from a small village by the Danube and has done a lot for Bulgarian pop music. So I can too! : ) I want to be a stimulus and an example for all young people who doubt or worry that they are not from Sofia and do not have connections, or some kind of “backing,” they can succeed. I am truly an example that a person with their own qualities, confidence, and discipline can attract teams to work with and establish themselves in their field.

 

As I mentioned, from an early age, discipline, responsibility, and the fact that I am organized to a large extent, determine my daily condition and lifestyle. Besides sports, meetings with partners and colleagues are of extreme importance to me. For me, this is the real life.

 

In my life, I have met and continue to meet many people, all kinds of people. What I understand that I have built in myself is tolerance, respect for other opinions, and diplomacy. I do not remember heavy conflicts, but I have my own position. The world is full of interesting, deep, funny, and talented people. Unfortunately, hypocrisy is on the rise. This is the most repulsive trait of a person. I avoid such people, I have my own environment where I feel normal. Yes, sometimes I happen to work with people who are not in my energy, but are professionals in what they do, and that is a sufficient condition. It is not necessary to be friends with everyone.

 

Money is not earned easily and should be valued. I have always viewed them as an investment, aside from the fact that you need to ensure yourself at a basic level. I do not know a person who knows how much money they need. People have different ideas about this. As an artist, I am to a large extent an idealist and I never approach a specific project with the idea of just monetizing it at any cost. I am not a finance expert, so I have someone on my team who takes care of this part. I can summarize that you should have enough money to be at peace with life and the investments in it.
