Money, money, money... myths, fears, and reality

"The game we all participate in!"

Money is not the most important thing in life.”

This is one of the most frequently repeated phrases in the world of business, personal development, and everyday conversations. And yet, a large part of our decisions - where we work, how we live, who we do business with, and even what we dream of - are directly related to it.

The truth is that money is never just money.

They are freedom. They are security. They are opportunities. They are time. They are choice.

The problem is not that people want more money. The problem is that they rarely admit why they want it.

Some want a higher salary because they dream of a better life for their family. Others want more income because they are tired of constantly calculating every bill to the last cent. A third wants financial success because they have lived their whole life with a sense of scarcity and finally want to feel secure.

Behind almost every financial goal lies an emotional reason.

That is why conversations about money are often so difficult. Because they are not just about numbers. They are about fears, ambitions, self-esteem, and a sense of value.

In business, the topic is even more interesting.

Many entrepreneurs start with a dream to change the world, to create something meaningful, or to solve a real problem. At some point, however, they discover that without revenue, there is no growth. Without profit, there is no sustainability. Without financial results, even the best idea remains just a good idea.

That is why profit is not something to be ashamed of.

Profit is the fuel that allows a company to hire people, invest in technology, create new products, and survive in tough times.

It is strange how society often praises success but looks suspiciously at the money behind it.

It seems we expect companies to grow without revenue, entrepreneurs to take risks without reward, and employees to be motivated solely by a cause.

The reality is different.

People work for meaning, but they also work for income. They want growth, but they also want financial stability. They seek inspiration, but do not refuse fair compensation.

And there is nothing wrong with that.

In recent years, attitudes towards money have been changing faster and faster. More and more people are openly talking about investments, financial planning, and building additional sources of income. Topics that were almost taboo a decade ago are now part of everyday conversations.

The reason is simple.

Uncertainty has become the new normal.

Inflation, economic shocks, technological changes, artificial intelligence, restructuring of entire industries – all of this makes people think more seriously about their finances.

It is no longer just about how much you earn.

It is about how much your time is worth.

How independent you are.

How long you can last without income.

How many choices you have when life puts you in difficult decisions.

That is why wealth should not be measured solely by the bank account.

A truly rich person is one who has the freedom to say “no” to the things they do not want and “yes” to the opportunities that inspire them.

Sometimes that means millions.

Sometimes it means enough resources to spend more time with your children.

Sometimes it means owning a business.

Sometimes it means peace of mind.

In the end, we all talk about money, but we are actually talking about the life we want to live.

Because money is just a tool.

Neither good nor bad.

It simply expands our possibilities.

And the question everyone should ask themselves is not how much money they want to have.

The question is: what kind of life do you want to afford.

Because after “money, money, money” always comes something much more important - the reason we pursue it.
