Introduce yourself
with what you are currently doing and at what position…
My name is Mihaela Vasileva and I am a Selection Manager at Adecco Bulgaria, leading the selection activities in both branches in the country. I have been part of the team for six years now, during which I have managed to accumulate in-depth expertise and detailed knowledge of the business, as well as the specifics of the labor market.
As part of Adecco, I am engaged in the management and development of our services and I am always open to discussing opportunities for collaboration. I believe in effectiveness and sustainable business results, which is why I strive to offer solutions that meet both the specific needs of clients and the dynamics of the market.
Which company would you like to highlight as a good workplace, in which industry is it, and what is its product/service?
I would like to highlight my current employer, which provides services in the field of human resources and personnel selection. It stands out with its culture, values, attitude towards employees, and providing opportunities for the development of young people. The colleagues are responsive, help each other, and share knowledge and experience, which creates an atmosphere of trust and positive emotions.
Is there something specific that you learned or felt as an attitude in this company that continues to serve you in your professional life?
For me, people are always at the center of every situation, so good treatment towards them is extremely valuable. I believe that I receive such treatment and strive to give it to my other colleagues. When people are calm and satisfied, they deliver better results and are more motivated.
I always approach with a smile, attention, and personal attitude towards each case. It is important for me to be helpful, to assist promptly, and to offer the best possible solution for each situation.
What good practices from this employer would you like to see more often in other organizations?
Transparent and honest communication – both between teams and between management and employees is the foundation for building good teams, and this is what we strive to demonstrate every day. The focus on respect for employees' personal time is also something that deserves to be adopted more widely, as it reflects on results in the short and long term.
If today someone
asked you whether it is worth applying to this company – what would you
answer and why?
I would categorically answer “yes”. This is a place where you will not only develop professionally but also feel valued as a person. The culture of mutual assistance, opportunities for development, and respect for individual contributions make the work satisfying and motivating.
Is there a person
or situation that has left a lasting positive imprint on you – something
that you would share as an example of good leadership or collegiality?
Yes, there is a situation that left a lasting positive imprint on me and served as an example of both good leadership and trust and collegiality. At the beginning of my professional path with my current employer, I strongly dreamed of participating in a project related to building a team for a startup company – something that seemed challenging but extremely inspiring.
Thanks to efforts and persistence in work, I got the opportunity not only to participate but also to take a leading role – I led the overall communication with the client and coordinated the work on team selection. We managed to successfully complete the project, with the client becoming our long-term partner, with whom we have been working for three years now.
This situation showed me how much can be achieved when trust is given and when a person has the freedom to act independently, but also with responsibility. For me, this was an example of good leadership – not through control, but through inspiration, recognition, and support. This is the approach I strive to apply in my work with colleagues and partners.
